Sohail Bashir

Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu,
My name is Sohail Bashir, and I have been a proud member of the ICF community since 2015. Professionally, I am an IT engineer and have been employed with Cisco Systems since 2011. Before moving to Frisco, I lived in several states due to the nature of my work, including Michigan, New Jersey, Illinois, and Minnesota.

For the last 10 years, I have been honored to serve our Frisco Masjid as a dedicated volunteer. Alhamdulillah, I also feel proud to have established a team of dedicated volunteers who share a strong commitment to serving our masjid and community.

I am especially proud to be the initiator of the Safwah Program at ICF for our youth since 2019. This program addresses a critical need by teaching our kids Fiqh, the Seerah, Akhlaq, Adab, and Leadership. Alhamdulillah, it serves not only high schoolers but also middle schoolers who benefit from advanced levels of Islamic knowledge.

As a dedicated lead volunteer, I feel honored to serve the Masjid throughout Ramadan and during various community occasions, Alhamdulillah! If given the opportunity to serve on the Shura, I plan to work closely with the youth of our community. I am deeply passionate about our youth and firmly believe that today’s youth are tomorrow’s leaders for our community, Insha’Allah.

I would love to be actively involved with our youth and be a strong advocate for their inclusion in leadership decisions, bringing them on board as part of the Shura to care for our beautiful Masjid and community in the future, Insha’Allah!
