The following are the requirements in order to get your Nikah conducted by ICF:
- Mutual agreement (Ijab-O-Qubul) by the bride and the groom
- Presence of two male Muslim witnesses for the groom and a guardian (wali) for the bride
- Valid legal marriage license (Collin County requires 72 hour wait period when requesting)
- Mahr (marriage-gift) to be paid by the groom to the bride either immediately (muajjal) or deferred (muakhkhar), or a combination of both
- If previously married, date and certificate of divorce(s)
- Photo ID of bride, groom, and witnesses
- Payment of the following fees:
- $50.00 service request fee (if cancelling 48 hours before the ceremony, fee will be refunded)
- $200.00 facility use fee (due within one week of ceremony)
- $500.00 retainer check delivered to the administration
Facility Use Guidelines (Please Review Before Submitting Request):
- Decorations & Photography
- Flower curtains are allowed, but must be assembled outside of the musalla and must be completely cleaned up before leaving.
- Photography is allowed, but only of the ceremony. Couple photos after the ceremony are not permitted.
- Music is not allowed in the musalla.
- Guests
- Maximum guest allowance is 75 people.
- Pease respect the sanctity of the musalla, and observe silence during the Adhan and prayer times while in the musalla.
- Chairs and a center table can be set up with prior arrangement with ICF administration.
- Guests must wear respectable attire while in the musalla area.
- Men and women will sit separately with a divider between them.
- Guest Imams are allowed to give a khutba / talk, but ICF scholars must officiate the ceremony.
- Food
- Food must be distributed in pre-made boxes for guests to take with them.
- Eating is not permitted inside the masjid.
