

Elevation is a group of the Islamic Center of Frisco that caters to the population of young professionals ages 19-35. Our goal is to connect a community of people together who are in similar stages of life through engagement, networking, personal growth and fulfilling spiritual needs.
Elevation caters to college students, working individuals, young married couples, and young parents.

Purpose:
The Elevation Committee (“Committee”) shall exist to assist the Islamic Center of Frisco (“Center”) in providing a welcoming, and engaging environment for young Muslims aged 19-35. The committee will serve the specific needs of college students, working professionals, married couples, and young professionals, helping them grow spiritually, professionally, and socially within the broader community. The Committee will operate under the guidance of the Board of Directors (“Shura”), assisting with the development of programs and initiatives that cater to the needs of young Muslims, promoting a balance of faith and modernity. The Committee shall serve at the direction of the Board and shall not have authority to speak on behalf of the Board or bind the Center financially or contractually.
Mission:
The mission of the Elevation Committee is to create a holistic environment for young Muslims that fosters spiritual development, professional growth, and community building. The Committee will organize educational events, social activities, and professional development programs that help young professionals strengthen their relationship with Allah SWT while navigating the challenges of modern life.
Vision:
The vision of the Elevation Committee is to make ICF a hub for young professionals where every individual feels spiritually supported, intellectually stimulated, and socially connected. Elevation aims to build a community where young Muslims thrive in both their faith and professional endeavors, working towards a harmonious balance of personal, spiritual, and professional fulfillment.
Duties:
The responsibilities of the Elevation Committee include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Organize and implement events that promote spiritual growth, professional development, and social engagement for young Muslims.
- Create and maintain a welcoming environment for all young professionals within the mosque community.
- Provide resources and opportunities for young Muslims to engage in career development, networking, and community service.
- Foster a culture of mentorship, where experienced professionals guide younger members in their careers and spiritual journeys.
- Encourage regular participation in spiritual activities, including but not limited to discussions, Tafsir sessions, and Quran study circles.
- Develop and execute social events such as game nights, book clubs, and social mixers to strengthen community bonds.
- Promote awareness of issues facing young Muslims today and encourage open discussions on how to balance faith and modern life.
- Coordinate with the masjid's leadership to ensure the young professionals’ needs are integrated into the mosque’s long-term planning.
- Maintain an active membership and volunteer base, with regular recruitment drives.
- Report to the Board during the annual general meeting, highlighting achievements and challenges.
