The Islamic Center of Frisco (ICF) is a vibrant and diverse hub serving thousands of families in North Texas. With weekly lectures, Qur’an programs, youth activities, interfaith gatherings, and major community events, ICF is dedicated to excellence in faith, service, and engagement.
Our media presence is central to connecting the community locally and globally. We are seeking a Creative Media Lead to shape and direct ICF’s creative vision—leading a team to deliver high-quality storytelling, design, video, and digital engagement that reflects the professionalism and mission of ICF.
Position Overview
The Creative Media Lead sets the strategy, direction, and execution of all ICF media. This includes managing production for events, overseeing all social and digital platforms, leading a growing team of staff and volunteers, and ensuring that ICF’s creative output consistently aligns with its mission and brand identity.
This role requires a balance of leadership, hands-on production, innovative vision, and commitment to community impact.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
- Recruit, train, and guide staff/volunteers for the Creative Media team.
- Delegate tasks effectively and ensure consistent coverage of events.
- Provide mentorship and foster a collaborative, accountable culture.
- Establish clear workflows for planning, execution, and review.
Creative Direction & Branding
- Define and maintain ICF’s creative identity across all platforms.
- Lead major media projects and campaigns with polished execution.
- Generate new and innovative ideas to increase engagement and reach.
- Provide oversight and direction on the development of marketing and promotional material to all ICF committees in collaboration with all graphic designers.
Media Production
- Oversee videography, photography, and editing for weekly events (lectures, khutbahs, youth programs, interfaith gatherings, Eid, Ramadan, etc.).
- Produce and direct videos, livestreams, highlight reels, and promotional content.
- Maintain high standards of visual and audio quality.
Content Strategy & Digital Presence
- Develop and manage a content calendar for events, campaigns, and long-term initiatives.
- Ensure timely production and release across all media channels.
- Manage all ICF social media pages and coordinate the weekly newsletter in conjunction with a volunteer team.
- Collaborate with the Marketing/Communications Committee to maximize reach.
- Track and analyze performance metrics to refine strategy.
Operations & Technical Oversight
- Maintain and manage media equipment and software.
- Research and implement best practices and emerging media tools.
- Oversee the media department budget responsibly.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Media Production, Communications, Film, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience leading creative/media teams.
- Strong skills in videography, photography, and editing are required.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator) or similar tools.
- Demonstrated storytelling and content creation ability.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings/weekends for events.
Preferred
- Experience in nonprofit or faith-based settings.
- Familiarity with livestreaming and broadcast technology.
- Knowledge of motion graphics/animation.
- Strong understanding of social media and digital trends.
